Vacuum Tray Drier (VTD)

Vacuum Tray Driers (VTD) are most commonly used batch drier and generally used when desired product required to be dried at reduced temperature due to material sensitivity towards high temperature or products with low melting property.

This box shaped drier is also available in varying capacities such as lab scale to commercial scale ie. From few grams to few 100 Kgs. Higher the capacity of the drier then the number of trays used will be higher with large sized trays.

 

Mechanism of heat transfer is convective and this type of drier is not suitable for very large volumes such as multiple tonnage products.
